Features: 1) Common name: dimethoate (ANSI, BSI, ESA, ISO, JMAF), Fosfamid (CIS). 2) Chemical name: O, O-dimethyl S-methyl carbamoyl methyl phosphorodithioate. 3) Molecular formula: C5H12NO3PS2. 4) Molecular weight: 299.2. Physicochemical properties: 1) Content: ≥98 percent. 2) White crystalline solid with mercaptan odor. 3) Melting point: 45 - 48°C. 4) Highly soluble in chloroform, methylene chloride, benzene, toluene, alcohols, esters and ketones; slightly soluble in xylene, carbon tetrachloride, and aliphatic hydrocarbons. 5) Toxicity: a) Rats: oral LD50 235mg/kg, dermal above 400mg/kg ; b) Fish: LC50 30.2mg/L (rainbow trout) ; c) Bees: LD50 (24h) 0.12mg/bee (topical). 6) Usages: a) For a wide range of insects, such as aphids, mites, planthoppers, thrips and whiteflies on alfalfa, apples, corn, cotton, grapefruit, grapes, lemons, melons, oranges, ornamentals, pears, pecans, safflower, sorghum, soybeans, tangerines, tobacco, tomatoes, watermelons, wheat, and other vegetables ; b) Residual wall spray in farm buildings for flies
