Name: ferrous sulfate
Molecular formula: FeSO4.7H2O
Ferrous sulfate is a by-product of sulfuric acid process titanium dioxide production plant, light blue green columnar crystals or granules, odorless, taste salty, and astringent. Easy soluble in water, glycerin.
Insoluble in ethanol, there are corrosive, deliquescence weathering. The appearance is fruit green, impurity content is low. Primarily for the manufacture of magnetic iron oxide, purifying agent, disinfectant and so on.

Main use:
　　1, industrial applications: for the manufacture of iron salt flocculant, the ink dye used for coal, grass tanning agent, bleaching agent, wood preservatives and disinfectants, and so on.
2, agricultural applications: used as a fertilizer, herbicides and pesticides, treatment of wheat smut, control orchard pests and fruit trees rot, root tree stalk of the moss, lichen and so on. Also be used as fertilizer, a catalyst for chlorophyll production in plants, the absorption of plant plays an important role.
3, pharmaceutical applications: used as pharmaceutical agents and local convergence blood agent, it is the in vivo synthesis of red blood cell iron content of raw materials.
