Scientific Name: Phyllanthus Niruni
Stone Breaker or Chancapiedra is a plant original from the Peruvian Amazon.

It is a small annual wild shrub that grows to a height of 30 - 60 cm (1-2 ft) tall, native to the Peruvian Amazon. It has a tall stem and its leaves are 7-12 mm long; its flowers are small, white, rooted to a leaf, where they give fruit. The root has little ramification. The leaves and roots are commonly used.

HABITAT: Found in the tropics, this plant adapts very well in different soils and ecological zones up to 3,000 meters above sea level (10,000 ft). In Peru, it is found along all the tropical zones, where it grows wild in shady and humid places.
