Detailed Steel Grit Description:
Steel grit is made from broken cast steel shot after heat treatment and then is heat-treated again. Excellent material and proper heat treatment make it of high hardness, big density and compact microscopic structure, so it is of fast cutting speed, less abrasion and flat cutting surface when cutting stone material. Types available: 1) GP STEEL GRIT is angular when new. It rapidly rounds off in use and is particularly suited to removing sand from casting and scaling oxides. 2) GL STEEL GRIT, although harder than GP STEEL GRIT, loses its sharp edges during shot blasting and is particularly suited to de-scaling and surface preparation applications. 3) GH STEEL GRIT, having maximum hardness, always remains angular in its operation mix. These abrasives are particularly effective in surface treatment processes and produce a uniform, etched finish.
