Betaine anhydrous (feed grade)
Compound Betaine is a new type of feed additives which is firstly studied, developed and promoted in China. The research on this product was one of the key projects during the Eighth Five Year Plan .It was carried out by the bio-chemists and animal nutritionists at the Feed Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, based on the nutritional mechanism of betaine and characteristics of animal production and feed formulation in China. Challenge Compound Betaine has been well accepted by the market for its excellent effect in practical application .It has recently been widely used by animal producers. It was awarded the prize of Excellent Science-Technique Product at the Third Show of Beijing Municipality on Brilliance of Science and Technique by an evaluation committee consisted of Beijing Science-Technique Committee, Science-Technique Association, Experimental Zone of New-Tech Industry Development and Association of Private Science-Technique Industrialists. Betaine is also called trimethylglycine (C5H11NO2). A betaine molecule has three effective methyl groups and is electrically neutral. The melting point of betaine is as high as 200.Betaine can be dissolved in water and methanol very easily. Functions of Betaine: 1. Being a methyl donor, betaine can replace methionine and choline to supply methyl groups; 2. Betaine can take part in various biochemical reactions in animal body where methyl groups are needed therefore to assist synthesis of nucleic acid, amino acid and protein; 3. Betaine is effective in promoting lipid metabolism, increasing lean meat, preventing fatty liver and improving the immunity. 4. Betaine is capable of mediating cellular osmotic pressure, reducing stresses and guaranteeing normal growth of animals; 5. Being a good flavoring, betaine is capable of stimulating taste and olfaction of animals especially aquatics therefore to increase feed intake and survival rate, to reduce feed conversion rate, to reduce water pollution and to promote growth; 6. Betaine can stabilize vitamins in feed products. Product Group: Betaine Anhydrou |
