Paradyne Hotwire External Modem Bridge Router
The 6381 ADSL/R provides a single DSL port (supporting both ReachDSL 2.2 and ADSL line codes) and a 10/100BaseT Ethernet port for connectivity to the LAN. The 6381 also provides an integrated phone filter with RJ-11. The 6381 provides LED indicators for Power, Alarm, Test, DSL and Ethernet. Service providers who have been deploying ReachDSL 2.2 solutions can use the 6381 and have the added benefit of ADSL service where higher bandwidth is required. The 6381 is designed to interoperate with the Paradyne GranDSLAM 4220 and 4210 Stackable DSLAMs, the BitStorm 4800 Stackable IP DSLAMs, or the GranDSLAM 8820/8620 equipped with the 8355 ReachDSL 2.2 Line Card, or the 8365 ADSL Line Card. Additionally, the 6381 operates with other DSLAMs that incorporate ADSL. The 6381 defaults as a bridge with support for PPPoE and PPPoA. In router mode, the 6381 supports DHCP Server/Relay/Client, NAPT, as well as RIP, Dynamic Routing, Port Forwarding, Static Routing, and Ping initiation. For security, the 6381 supports firewalling, PAP (Password Access Protocol) and CHAP (Challenge Handshake Authentication Protocol). Configuration and monitoring of the 6381 is accomplished by accessing the embedded Web interface via Telnet session, using either the in-band management PVC or directly from the Ethernet port. Paradyne's ReachDSL systems are managed by the GrandVIEW Network Management System with Web-based element management of all DSL components in a network. It supports the latest standards for efficient and seamless installation and management. |
